Current (2018-2019) School Year: We currently have limited open positions for the 2018-2019 school year. Open positions include:
- 3 year old cozy classroom (Tuesday/Thursday, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday, & Monday through Thursday)
- 3/4 year old mixed age classroom (some schedule flexibility, 2-5 days per week)
- PreK (Mon/Wed/Fri, Monday through Friday, 4 day options as well)
Children need to turn three-years-old by October 31st. In our older PreK classroom, children need to turn five by the end of December. Our tuition rates and fees can be found on our website. Please fill out an application form (found on our website) and return it to the school office. Then, call and schedule a tour of the school with our executive director.
New 2/3 Year Old Classroom: The Missoula Community School is intending to start a 2-year-old program for the upcoming fall! The final decision regarding this program will depend on the number of interested families. Children need to turn two by September 1st. The classroom would open September 4th.

Enrollment Information for the 2018-2019 School Year:
MCS is accepting applications for the 2018-2019 school year, starting November 1st, 2017. New prospective families are encouraged to turn in their completed 2018.2019 Enrollment Application Updated promptly. All families must attend one of the scheduled open houses. Applications are processed on a first-come, first served basis. Turning in an application does not guarantee enrollment. A MCS staff member will be in touch after in-house re-enrollment is complete.
Prospective families can attend any of our Open House dates to view the school and meet with the director and staff. If you are unable to attend any of the dates, you can schedule an individual tour with the director, Kristal.
In-house re-enrollment, for currently enrolled families, will begin mid winter. During that time, currently enrolled families have priority in selecting schedules and securing spots for the coming year, including spots for siblings. In-house re-enrollment continues through late January/early February. Currently enrolled families can find the paperwork in their parent pocket during the re-enrollment period. Any re-enrollment requests or requests for schedule changes after that time will be filed and processed along with requests for new families. Therefore, it is very important for current families wishing to re-enroll their child(ren) to return paperwork promptly.
MCS staff will then process new family applications in the order in which they were received. Calls to new families will begin early March. We will work to be as timely as possible; thanks for understanding that this process takes time and we will contact you as soon as possible. Everyone who has filed an application will be called and informed of your status.
Visiting the school:
If you would like to find out more about Missoula Community School, we recommend you visit during an upcoming Open House date (beginning November 2017 and continuing into winter and spring for 2018-2019 enrollment). During your visit, you will meet with the director to discuss our programs and have any questions answered, and then enter the classrooms to get a feel for our philosophy and practices. If you are unable to attend any of the Open House dates, please contact the school office.

Who will my child’s teacher be? Can I make a request?
It is not possible to answer the first question until late summer, since our Small Groups are not formed until that time. We want parents to know that ALL of our teachers are here because we believe they are outstanding at what they do. A teacher unfamiliar to you or new to the school may just be a great fit for your child! We discourage teacher requests for these reasons; thanks for understanding!
